Welcome!
The
practice of taking care of ones feet dates back to biblical times,
when King David would have his feet anointed with oil. The priests,
before they would enter their various temples, would bathe their feet
with oils such as lavender, frankincense, and myrrh. Our practice
has always treated the feet as an integral part of the body, and embraces
the importance of foot-care just as our ancestors did in ancient times.
Conservative care is always stressed with respect to evaluation and
treatment of various ailments that may affect the foot. Our office
staff treats our patients as though they were members of our own family,
and emphasizes the most important concept of all, "you shall
do no harm."
Most people that are in the working force, at home, participating
in athletics, or a member of the pediatric population will experience
foot problems at some point in their lives. Normally, we tend to
ignore the aches and pains in our feet, simply tolerating them until
it becomes necessary to change our lifestyle in order to counteract
the pain. Many of us will use our body in some way to compensate
for our foot problems.
In our practice, we treat a variety of foot ailments. Conservative
management is always our initial approach. We offer our patients
a wide variety of treatment modalities as well as surgical approach
and management. However, we work as a team, and when indicated,
we use all of our allied health professionals to aid in getting
the best care and best results and progress for all of our patients.
